James Ernest Brown, Sr., 81, of Lake Wales, FL passed away on Sunday, June 30. 2024 at Winter Haven Hospital.
Born May 1, 1943, in Washington, DC he lived in the Haines City/Davenport area for many years before moving to Lake Wales 3 years ago. He was a veteran of the US Army and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of the Bass club and loved to fish.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kitty; a son James E. Brown, Jr.; three daughters, Tammy Brown, Peggy Brown and Mary Brown; two brothers, Richard and David; a sister, Doris; ten grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 9:00am till 10:00am, Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
