January 8th, 1954 - July 8th, 2024
David Andrew Cromwell “Dave,” 70, of Lake Wales, FL passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 at Winter Haven Hospital, FL.
He was born in Huntington, WV on January 8, 1954 then settled in Central Florida in the early 1970’s. He served briefly in the Navy and worked many years as a salesman with Colorado Boxed Beef, among other things. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, yard-saling, and generally “Lovin’ Life.”
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. John W. Cromwell; mother, Sally Barbara Cromwell; and a niece. He is survived by six children, Christopher C. Cromwell of Dover, FL, Brendan M. Cromwell of St. Petersburg, FL, Veronica L. Sturgill of Ocala, FL, Rebecca M. Preece of Ocala, FL, Sarah E. Allan of Chloe, WV, and Sally N. Tamayo of Pittsburgh, PA.; four siblings, John W. Cromwell, Jr. of Afton, TN, Stephen J. Cromwell of Bridgeport, WV and Nancy J. Deemer of Weirton, WV; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends on August 3, 2024 at 1 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. There will be a Memorial Service directly following and light refreshments will follow.
