Joshua James Ingrum
May 24th, 1983 - July 7th, 2024
Joshua James Ingrum, 41, of Colorado Springs, passed away July 7, 2024 at his home. He was born May 24, 1983 to Jeff and Terri Ingrum in Littleton, Colorado.
Josh went to high school at St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Colorado Springs, where he graduated in 2002. Josh had several athletic accomplishments in high school, to include being named First Team All-State and First Team All-Area (Class 2A Football in 2001).
He went on to take college classes in Business Management at Western State College (CO) and Wayne State College (NE).
Josh worked as a general manager for his family’s roller skating business Skate City, and later owned his own Skate City rink location in Belleville, ILL. Josh was an active leader in the roller skating industry and was the current sectional director and board member of the Roller Skating Association.
Josh was an avid sports fan, and his favorite teams were the Denver Broncos and the Denver Nuggets. Josh was also an accomplished inline hockey player, earning tournament MVP at the 1996 USA Roller Sports National Championships. Josh also played elite level and professional inline hockey for the Pikes Peak Prowlers, Denver Blizzard, and the Colorado Stallions.
Josh was everyone’s best friend and was the life of the party. He always had the biggest smile and hug for everyone he encountered and spoke positively of everyone he knew. With a heart of gold and genuinely loving personality, Josh has touched so many people’s lives in a wonderful way. The ray of sunshine he has left behind will live on forever in our hearts.
Josh is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jeary Ingrum; and grandmother, Julie Larson.
He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Theresa Ingrum; his brother Jason Ingrum; sister-in-law Kristi Ingrum; brother Jonathan Ingrum. Josh is also survived by his girlfriend of five years, Heather Smith and her daughter Olivia Smith; nephew Caleb Weien; nieces Caitlyn and Corinne Ingrum; paternal grandmother, Elda Rae Ingrum; and maternal grandfather, Michael Larson.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to The Springs Funeral Services, Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church, the entire Skate City family, and all our wonderful friends and family for their outpouring of love and support.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Black Forest, Colorado at 12:00pm on Monday, July 15, 2024. A reception to celebrate Josh’s life will be held at the Parish Hall at Our Lady of the Pines immediately following the funeral mass. All our invited to join us in celebrating the life of Josh Ingrum.
