Richard "Dick" Edward Theriault
June 13th, 1936 - June 28th, 2024
Richard Edward Theriault, 88, approached Heaven's gate on June 28, 2024 after succumbing to Alzheimer's disease. Born on June 13, 1936 in Lincoln, New Hampshire to Patrick and Angelina Theriault, he was the eldest of their five sons. Following High School Richard enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in England where he met and married the love of his life Eileen Wall. Following discharge from service they settled in Palm Bay, Fl, created a home and raised four daughters together.
Richard secured a position with Radiation, now L3 Harris, in January 1960 as a junior technician promoting to the position of Lead Engineer, receiving numerous commendations from his employer as well as its customers before retiring in 1997.
Following retirement Richard and Eileen moved to the senior living community The Villages in Sumter County.
In recent years they returned to the Melbourne/Palm Bay area to spend their remaining years closer to their daughters and their families.
Richard and Eileen were married for 64 years when Eileen passed away on May 28, 2023.
Richard will be remembered by his family as a kind, loving, beloved father and grandfather, a devoted husband, a hardworking provider, a devout Catholic and an avid bowler.
Preceded in death by his wife Eileen, his parents Angelina and Patrick Theriault, and his brother Robert Theriault of Grant, Fl.
Survived by his daughters Sharon Drack of Palm Bay, Fl, Susan Fritz of Rockledge, Fl, Lynda Chance of Melbourne, Fl and Toni Wise of Palm Bay, Fl, as well as his sons-in law Brian Drack, Dennis Fritz and John Werling.
His grandchildren Tyler Drack, Steve and Kara Fritz, Brittany Deputy, Autumn Fairchild and Michael Wise. His great-grandchildren Charlie Sellars, Carson Andrews, and Kinsleigh and Emma Deputy.
Richard is also survived by three brothers Donald Theriault and his wife Joanne of Melbourne, Fl, George Theriault and his wife Anita of Micco, Fl and David Theriault of Grant, Fl, numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
May he rest in God's love and perpetual light shine upon his faith filled soul.
A service to celebrate the life shared by Richard and Eileen will be held at 12:00 pm on August 2, 2024 at the Ammen Funeral Home located at 1001 Hickory St, Melbourne, FL 32901.
