Peter John Manford Linden, 95, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, in the Cardinal Courts Assisted Living in Cromwell, Minnesota.  Peter was born on June 5, 1929, in Holmesville Township, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to Carl and Clara Linden. 

Peter attended a rural school through 8th grade, taking 2nd and 3rd in the same year and testing out at age 13. He was united in marriage to Luella Corrine Janson on June 16, 1951. Together they raised 5 children.

Peter and Luella farmed in Rochert, Minnesota. Peter enjoyed farming, and later, logging. After selling the farm he enjoyed golfing and traveling with Cliff and Eleanor Junes.

Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Luella, of 70 years; parents; brother, Dick Linden; two grandsons, Troy Linden, and Nolan Caya.

He will be missed by his 5 children, Irene (Bob) Johnson, of Cromwell, Minnesota, Keith (MerryLee) Linden, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Gayle (Dan) Heikkila, of Cromwell, Minnesota, Tim (Carol) Linden, of Cloquet, Minnesota, and Todd (Lisa) Linden of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, friends, and a host of brothers and sisters in Faith.

Our family will forever be grateful for the friends and staff at Cardinal Courts for caring for our Dad and loving him like he was their own special Grandpa/Dad. We would also like to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care provided by St. Croix Hospice. Thank you for guiding and helping us make our Dad’s last month comfortable. The Cromwell Community is fortunate to have this outstanding facility. 

Visitation is planned for Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, MN 55720. Visitation will continue from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Eagle Lake Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church, five miles South of Cromwell.

A Burial Service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Egelund Cemetery in Rochert, MN.
