Georgene Gividen Harris
July 12th, 1937 - July 15th, 2024
Georgene Gividen Harris passed away July 15, 2024.
Georgene was born on July 12, 1937, to James Vance Gividen and Annie Lucille Beck Gividen. She was raised in Mapleton, Utah with her parents and siblings.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene; and her son, Gary. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Rhea (Blaine) Williams, Harold (Bonnie), Gwen, Dean, and Kathleen (Dewey) Nelson.
She is survived by her brother, Bert; sister, Mary Jo; children, Sheli, Jami, Jody, Michael, and Trenton; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was married to Gary John Harris for 61 years. They lived in San Diego, where he retired from the U.S. Navy. They then moved to St. Charles, Missouri, and then on to Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She loved baking, but not cooking! She was famous for making bears of any and all sized and colors. She enjoyed sewing on her embroidery machine. She was very good at making jewelry. She had a degree in accounting and held many jobs.
We looked forward to all the trips she made to Utah every year to see her siblings and family.
As you all know, she was the ice hockey QUEEN of ice hockey fans, supporting her son Trent.
We will truly miss the laughter, the fun, card games, crafts, and traveling to so many fun places. What wonderful memories we cherish.
Graveside Service, 10:00AM, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
