Lowell Eugene Hunt
May 25th, 1938 - July 26th, 2024
Lowell Eugene Hunt, age 86, of Nokomis, FL, passed away on July 26, 2024. He was born in Laura, Ohio to Lowell Emerson Hunt and Mary Catherine (Rolfe) Hunt on May 25, 1938. Lowell worked as a financial advisor for 25 years, retiring in 2000. Lowell lived in Panama City, FL before relocating to Nokomis in 1999.
Lowell served as President of Jaycees in Ohio, and President Lions Club in Florida and of the Laurel Woodland Homeowner’s Association. He was also an active member of the Venice Moose Lodge and the West Coast Woodworking Club. Lowell was recognized by the Sarasota sheriffs department for making and donating handcrafted wooded toys for area children.
Surviving family members include his spouse, Patricia Anne (Whittaker) Hunt of Nokomis; son Jeffrey Allen Hunt and his wife Kimberly A. Hunt of Ormond Beach, FL; daughter Jennifer Renee Hunt of Franklin, TN; 2 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his sister, D. Juilene (Hunt) Josselyn of Englewood, Ohio and grandson Joshua Allen Hunt of Eustice, FL.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Venice Church on August 22nd at 11:00 am.
