In Loving Memory
Regina “Gina” Parrott, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 20, 2024 at the age of 69. Born on September 9, 1954 in Fukuoka, Japan, she traveled the world as a young child in an Army family. She then lived in the Columbia, South Carolina area from the second grade until her passing. Gina graduated from Dreher High School in 1972 and had a fulfilling career, retiring from Midlands Technical College. Gina was married in 1976 to the love of her life, Pete Parrott. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two wonderful children. Gina cherished her family and friends, always finding joy in spending quality time with those she loved. Her warm and caring nature made her a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. Gina found peace in the simple pleasures of life. She loved basking in the sunshine, breathing in the fresh air, and feeding the wildlife that visited her home. She was often accompanied in these moments by her beloved dog, Bella.
Gina was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Phelps and Betty Jean Phelps, and her beloved husband, Pete Parrott. She is survived by her children, Wade Parrott and Jessica Threatt (Willy); her treasured granddaughter, Georgia Thomas; her siblings, Adeleous Thompson (Bob) and Tommy Phelps (Sue); and several nieces, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Gina's legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Gina wanted a Celebration of Life for Friends and Family, which will be held at a later date.
