In Loving Memory

Mr. Steve Braswell went home to be with the Lord following a brief illness on August 28, 2024, at the age of 60.

He was born at Fort Jackson Army Hospital on May 6, 1964, to William and Marian Braswell.  Steve spent most of his life in Columbia, South Carolina, where he attended Hammond Academy (grades 1-12).  After high school he joined the Air National Guard and went on to receive his undergraduate degree in Business and Computer Science from The University of South Carolina.  After college graduation, Steve went to work for PMSC/CSC and in 1990 was called to active duty and participated in Operation Desert Storm.  For the past fifteen years Steve had been employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield in various positions.  At the time of his death Steve was working as a Senior Business Systems Analyst for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and had retired from the National Guard.  As a teen-ager, Steve was baptized at Shandon Baptist Church and at his death was a member of the Village Church.

Steve was preceded in death by his father:  William Braswell and is survived by one daughter: Emma Braswell of Amelia Court House Virginia, grandson:  Nathan Williams, mother:  Marian Braswell of Columbia, sister:  Debbie (Tim) Corbin of
