Delmer Herman Carpenter

Delmer Herman Carpenter, 91, of Forest, VA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at his home. He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Kate Moxley Carpenter,
Born February 4, 1933, in Ash County, NC, he was a son of the late Arley Smith Carpenter and Ada Campbell Carpenter. He was also preceded in death by one brother Coy Carpenter and two sisters, Hazel Shelton and Wilma Hall. He retired as a maintenance supervisor with Francis Denny Corporation (Former Chapstick). He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Spout Springs, VA and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Kate and one son Kevin D. Carpenter (Jane) all of Forest, VA; one sister, Josephine Hall of Marion, VA and his “Grand Puppers” Martie and Max.
The family will receive friends on Friday September 13, 2024, from 12-1 PM at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Worley officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Delmer may be made to Victory Baptist Church- Building Fund, 4339 Salem Road, Spout Springs, VA 24593
