Donald “Don” William Burman, age 86, of Venice, FL, passed away on September 15, 2024. Don was born to William and Dorothy Burman in Detroit, MI on October 11, 1937. Don graduated with a master’s degree from Wayne State University. During his time at Wayne State University, he was a member of the music fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha. He also served as Summer Camp Director at Camp Mahn-Go-Tah-See, a YMCA camp in Hale, MI. Don was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2005-2006 while at Laurel-Nokomis School. He also participated in the Venice Avenue Christmas Walk by playing Santa from 2018-2020. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nadene Burman; children Brian Burman (Jennifer), and Bridgett Hart (David); brother Richard Burman (Carol); grandsons Seth Hart (Laura) , Benjamin Tilford (Julia), Austin Hart, Charlie Tilford (Ali); great-grandsons Oakley and Lincoln.

Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home on Saturday, September 21st from 10 – 11 am with a service to follow at 11 am. A reception will be held at the funeral home after the service.
