Marcos "Max" Edward Carrillo
December 11th, 1942 - September 7th, 2024
Marcos “Max” Carrillo of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, at the new Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Max is now in heaven with his wife, Katherine.
Max was born December 11, 1942, in Trinidad, Colorado. He was the son of the late Lena and Marcos Carrillo. Max is survived by his children Maxine (Jeff) Snyder, Madeline Carrillo, and Billy Carrillo, along with eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Max is also survived by his sisters Mary Ellen Griego and Genevieve(Steve) Fisher, his brothers David (Brenda) Carrillo and Peter (Cynthia) Carrillo, and sister-in-law Jan Carrillo. He is preceded in death by his sister Ernestine (Frank) Martinez, and his brother Marciano R. Carrillo.
Prior to his retirement, Max proudly worked for the Adams School District 50 at the Early Childhood Center in as the Head Custodian. Max thoroughly enjoyed his time outdoors hunting and fishing, rooting for the Broncos, watching westerns and scary movies, listening to his favorite music on his record player and recently streaming TV. Most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will take place in honor of Max at Saint Dominic Catholic Church, 2905 Federal Blvd., Denver, CO 80211 on September 24, 2024.
The viewing will take place at 9:00 am, rosary at 9:30 am, and Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.
Interment to proceed at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, CO.
Reception will be to follow at Cedar Bridge Clubhouse2501 W 111th Ave.Westminster, CO 80234
