Marian Weaver
February 9th, 1934 - September 15th, 2024
Marian Grieb Weaver, 90, passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born on February 9th, 1934 in Salona, Pennsylvania to the late Aaron and Helen Grieb. Marian spent her childhood living on a farm with her mother, father and seven siblings. On January 9th, 1954, she married the love of her life, Bill Weaver, and they had four children. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, where she created a warm and nurturing home for many years to come.
Marian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved college football, cooking, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family. She was also a loyal member of The First United Methodist Church of Ocala for over 50 years. Marian is survived by her loving sons, Doug Weaver (Jaci Weaver) and Dean Weaver (Donna Weaver); seven grandchildren, Kaley Britt (John Britt), Leanna Schaffer (Chris Schaffer), Sheridan Weaver, Jordan Stout (Nick Stout), Savanna Weaver, Tanner Weaver and Drew Weaver; and three great-grandchildren, Avery Britt, Peyton Britt and Rebecca Schaffer. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, parents, seven siblings, son Donald William Weaver and daughter Rebecca Weaver Elkins.
A memorial service will be held at The First United Methodist Church of Ocala on October 4th, 2024 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Empath Hospice of Marion County in Ocala, Florida at https://hospiceofmarion.org/donate/. Online condolences may be sent at www.hiers-baxley.com.
