Donna Sue Guerin
October 27th, 1934 - September 19th, 2024
Donna Sue Guerin aged 89 of Gladstone Oregon, passed away on September 19th at Somerset Assisted Living of natural causes, surrounded by her daughters. Somerset assisted living treated her like family and she loved the staff, and they loved her back. Donna was born on October 27, 1934, in Rochester New York to Donald and Verle Guerin. Donna grew up in West Webster New York and attended school and graduated in West Webster New York.
Donna truly enjoyed classy jewelry and clothes, dancing, spending time with all her friends, especially the red hat ladies, shopping, collecting, camping, and most of all, loving on her Dogs. She was an active member of the Red and Black Hatters, Elks Club, the American Legion, and AARP. Her smile lit up the room! She was a truly giving person and is loved and missed by her family and many friends.
Donna worked in the hospitality industry as a travel agent, in a florist shop, office work for the Elks Lodge and the insurance industry, however, her pride occupation was running and owning her dog grooming business. She considered herself a mother to 11 children in her lifetime.
Donna is survived by her three daughters Dawn Lewis, Hope Ruppert, and Darla Sharer. Stepchildren include Michael Maloney, Robert Maloney, Glenda Bingham, Lorraine Gotta, David Butler, Carolyn Linley, Virginia Sheldon, and Cody Rossman. She is loved by 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at Wilhelm Portland Memorial located at 6705 S. E. 14th Ave., Portland, OR 97202. The service begins Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at 3:00 PM PST.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Somerset Assisted Living and the Tenderly Hospice team for their compassionate care for Donna.
