Karol Joy Davis Harris

Karol Joy Davis Harris, 87, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on October 3, 2024. Born in New York City in 1937 to Harry Holmes Kuhn and Kathryn E. Sheridan, Karol lived a life marked by love, kindness, and generosity. 

Karol was a dedicated mother to five children. She is survived by Shawn William Davis (Claudia) of Ocala, Florida; Brook Bridget Davis-Crumrine of Tampa, Florida; and Justin P. Davis (Jennifer) of Ocala, Florida. Preceding her in death were husband H. Robert Harris; beloved children Kurt Ray Davis and Kelly Joy Davis; and former husband Jackie Ray Davis.  

As a grandmother, she took pride in her grandchildren. She is survived by Kelly Alexander Davis of Sacramento, California; Jaime Allen Davis of Lecanto, Florida; Ashley Lorin Shaffner (Tyler) of Nashville, Tennessee; Katie Laurel Davis of Tampa, Florida; Madison McKenzie Crumrine of Tampa, Florida; Emily Joy Carr (Tyler) of Enterprise, Alabama; and Wyatt Mason Davis of Ocala, Florida. 

Karol’s generosity, kindness, and passion for animals defined her. She contributed extensively to various charities and made a memorable impact on the Ocala community. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of unremitting love and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Brother’s Keeper of Ocala, Florida.
