Rufino Gabriel Trujillo Jr, age 72, passed away on Saturday September 28th, 2024, at his home. He was born July 3rd, 1952, in Denver Colorado to Rufino and Ruby (Martinez) Trujillo. He enlisted in the US Army in 1976 where he served as a military police officer until 1981. In 1983 he graduated from the police academy. In his 30 year career on the police force, he served in many capacities. He retired in 2013 as a detective for the Denver Police Department. He is survived by his wife, Linda (DeHerrera) Trujillo; sons- Rufino (Rena) Trujillo III and Ruben (Elizabeth) Trujillo; grandchildren- Rufino IV, Raelynn, Cruz, Elijah, Jobe, Izaiah, and Ruben Jr. ; sisters- Elizabeth Shipley and Regina Abeyta; and many other family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, siblings - Rodger, Samuel, Rafael, Julian, and Roberta, and granddaughter Gabriella.
