Daniel R. Gold

Daniel Robert Gold, 64, of Palm Bay, Florida, formerly of New Lisbon, Wisconsin and Idledale, Colorado entered Eternal Life on August 16, 2024. He died peacefully at home. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki; sister, Suzanne and brother, Donald. Daniel entered life in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania on July 8, 1960 to Lenard and Mary Gold. 

Daniel had a great love and knowledge of automobiles at an early age and took college classes in auto repair. Volkswagons proved to be his specialty and greatest love. He worked in a gas station as a shop helper in 1980; that is when he met his future wife. Vicki was his neighbor and he saw her walk past his window daily. He told his roommate "I'm going to get that girl." Daniel and Vicki married 2 years later and lasted 42 years. Daniel had taken a job as an oil rig hand and moved to Greeley, Colorado. He worked his way up from "worm" to "dereckhand", 90 feet in the air. His return to his love of auto repair started in 1985 when they moved back to Denver and started as a shop hand at Boltswagon. He became a full mechanic and was with "Bolts" for almost 20 years. He then went to work for a former "Bolts" mechanic who started his own shop and was very happy there. 

A life change came and they moved to Wisconsin and fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening his own shop. Unfortunately, medical problems forced him into retirement. With a heavy heart, he dismantled his shop and moved to Florida. Daniel took a job with O'Reilly's. He found his niche. He could still use his knowledge to help people. He was delighted to be there and was very fond of his coworkers. The medical problems became worse and surgery was performed. Daniel never seemed to recover, he passed in his sleep on August 16, 2024. 

The good, honest, and loving man who was always ready to help; always smiling, had been called home by God. He was loved by many and that wonderful smile will be greatly missed. 

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Pelican Beach Clubhouse, 1495 N. Hwy A1A, Satellite Beach, FL  32937. on January 18th, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
