Francis Joseph Jacobs
July 5th, 1924 - October 10th, 2024
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed peacefully on October 10, 2024 at Cerenity Marion St. Paul. Preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Catherine (nee Gattuso), parents, Harry and Mary Jacobs and nine siblings. Survived by his eight children; William (Martha) of VA, Daniel of AZ, Mary Ann Stark (Robert) of Ely, MN, Philip of Minneapolis, Judith Richardson (Michael) Roseville, Catherine McFerrin of Maplewood, Kenneth Paul (Judy) of CA, Stephen of Mankato, 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
As a longtime resident of St. Paul, he was involved in his parish, St. Luke’s Catholic Church and school, in many capacities. He spent his career in service as an IRS agent and post-retirement at the Leo Byrne Residence for 17 years. Francis was a US Navy World War II veteran.
He leaves the world with peace and knowing how much he loved and was loved. Francis always did the right thing, for the right reason even when no one was looking. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Saint Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway St., St. Paul, MN on Wednesday, October 16 at 10:30 AM. Public visitation begins at 9:30 AM. Burial service at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be October 22nd at 11:30 AM.
