James “Jim” MacDonald, 82, of Winter Haven passed away on October 15, 2024. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, he moved to the area 16 years ago, calling it home. 

 

Jim was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. He is a proud Army Veteran. Jim enjoyed gardening and volunteering at Bok Tower. Jim was an avid Boston sports fan, he enjoyed fishing, reading and watching westerns. Jim was a great cook, but more than anything he loved his family beyond words and cherished his little dog, Rosie.  

 

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Helen MacDonald; brother, Russell MacDonald; sister, Lorraine Daly; son, David MacDonald. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Eda MacDonald; son John MacDonald; daughter, Sandy (David) Belskis; daughter in law, Betty MacDonald; brother, John MacDonald; grandchildren, Kimberly, Kristen, Thomas, Ryan, Danielle, Samantha; great grandchild, James. 

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
