George Curran
April 17th, 1952 - October 20th, 2024
George Curran, 72, of Haines City, Florida passed away on October 20, 2024.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1952. He moved to Miami, Florida around 1970 and later moved to Polk County in the early 80’s where it became his home. He was an engraver for a Miami and Orlando print shop for many years. George was the eldest son of Paul and Helen Curran’s seven children. After his father’s passing, George cared for his mother until she was called home to be with the Lord. He was always ready to help his family and was selfless and giving. George enjoyed many sports including all the Boston teams, the Rays, the Buccaneers and the Lightning. He held season tickets for several year for the Bucs. He loved his dog Keko dearly.
George is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen; brother, Dennis Curran; nephews, Jimmy Shepherd and Steven Curran. He is survived by his brothers, Kevin Curran, Mark (Sandy) Curran, Neil (Emma) Curran; sisters, Marleen (Ed) Leffler, Lauren Curran; sister-in-law, Supis Curran; nieces Regina Cantu, Heather Pollock. Christine Curran, Kayla Holladay, Candice Hardee, Cynthia Curran, Tiffany Curran, Rachel Leffler, Emilee Rankin; nephews, Ed Hardee and Edward Leffler; several great nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
