Maryanne Joan Delaney
October 17th, 1937 - October 26th, 2024
Maryanne J. Delaney was born in Neptune, New Jersey on October 17, 1937 and passed away in Venice, Florida on October 26, 2024 at the age of 87. She was a resident of Paramus, NJ where she raised her family and lived for many years. Later she moved to Saddle River, NJ prior to retiring in Venice in 2005.
Maryanne was a Registered Nurse for 60 years and member of the Lady of Lourdes CCW, Tole Painters Group, New Jersey Club, R.N. Association, Bergen Pines School of Nursing and Newark School of Nursing.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Delaney of Venice; a son, Thomas (Janet) Delaney of Florida; two daughters, Kathleen Delaney of South Carolina, Marian (George) Mariantes of Florida; four grandchildren, Kevin, Ryan (Rebecca), Cole, Kylie; two great-grandchildren, Shea Lily and Wren Collins. She also leaves behind a first cousin, Sister Kathleen Stagnaro of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Maryanne was preceded in death by her parents, Mary & Herman Dietz; three brothers, Robert, Joseph, and Daniel Dietz; father-in-law, John Delaney; mother-in-law, Josephine Delaney and brother-in-law, Joseph Delaney. Maryanne was insightful, patient, strong beyond words, laughed wholeheartedly, was game for anything, and had a generous heart which overflowed with unconditional love. She was beautiful, supportive, faithful, selfless, and guided by God. Those touched by Maryanne were Blessed by an Angel. We love you more, always.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 10:00AM with a visitation to follow at Farley Funeral Home in Venice from 4:00PM-6:00PM. A graveside service will be held at Venice Memorial Gardens on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 10:00AM.
