Estelle Evans Sykes
January 13th, 1927 - October 28th, 2024
Estelle Evans Sykes, age 97, passed away on October 28, 2024. She was a librarian in Opa-Locka and Blessed Trinity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sykes and daughter Elizabeth. She is survived by six children, Kathleen, Christine, James, David (Diane), John Paul (Angela), seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
During her long life she was very artistic doing oil painting, watercolors, china painting, ceramics and creating greeting cards. With her young children she enjoyed the ocean and camping. In later years she enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with family and friends. Donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
A Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 4:00 pm-5:00 pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, Florida 34470.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11:00 am at Our Lady the Springs Catholic Church 4047 NE 21st St, Ocala, FL 34470. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
