Larry Lee Burckhart, 82, passed on to glory on October 31, 2024, in Melbourne, Florida. Born on June 25, 1942, Larry dedicated much of his life to his work as a self-employed construction contractor, a career that spanned several decades and left a lasting impact on his community.

Larry was not only passionate about his profession but also had a deep love for building and restoring antique cars, street rods, and tractors, as well as modifying golf carts and their accessories. His meticulous craftsmanship and innovative designs were admired by all who knew him.

He was an active member of three churches throughout his life, including North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee, Indiana, Suntree Grace Brethren Church, and Northside Presbyterian Church, both in Melbourne, Florida. His Christian faith played a significant role in his life and community service.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Flory) Burckhart; children, Larry Burckhart, Kent Burckhart, and Cindy (Burckhart) Higgins; and grandchildren, Melissa (Burckhart) Rassi, Kevin Burckhart, and Karissa Burckhart. He also leaves behind his brother, Keith Burckhart.

A memorial service will be held at Northside Presbyterian Church in Melbourne, FL, on November 16, 2024, at 3:00 PM.
