James "Bunk" Caldwell Harmon Jr., 90, of Columbia, South Carolina, entered the gates of heaven on Friday, November 8, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Eastover, SC, he was the son of the late James Caldwell Harmon Sr. and Beauty Dethaniel Shull Harmon. 

James was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served in the United States Navy for 2 years and was a lifelong Gamecocks fan. 

He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Barbara Ann Love Harmon; children, James "Jimmy" Caldwell Harmon, III (Ken), Sharon Kay Harmon (Steve), and Randy Wayne Harmon (Angela); grandchildren, Jesse Harmon (Sarah), Chance Harmon (Brandi), Brandon Taylor (Brittany), Preston Taylor, Jennifer Harmon, Mandy Harmon, and Steven Harmon along with 19 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert "Butch" Harmon, sister, Betty Lou Harmon Driggers, and grandson, Jamie Harmon. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia, SC on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 12-1 pm, followed by services at 1 pm.
