Carmen Gloria Figueroa

Carmen Garcia Figueroa, 91, passed away on November 5, 2024 in Tempe, Arizona. Carmen, born on April 14, 1933 in Gilbert, was a proud, traditional, and hardworking wife and mother whose deep Mexican roots influenced both her life and the lives of those she loved. Her strong cultural values and faith shaped her family's traditions, which she carried with her throughout her 91 years.

As the matriarch of her family, Carmen was the heart and foundation of her household. Carmen is survived by her children, Frankie, Jennie, Chita, and Enrique, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Antonio, Effie, Lupe, Dolores, and Maria Jesus. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Enrique; her parents, Belen and Angel; and her two brothers and sister.

Visitation will be held at Meldrum Mortuary on Thursday, November 14th at 5 p.m. Mass will be held at Queen of Peace on Friday, November 15th at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Mesa Cemetery.

Carmen will be remembered for the strong family ties she nurtured, the values she passed down through generations, and the quiet strength she demonstrated every day. Her legacy as a loving matriarch and sister will continue to inspire and guide her family for years to come.
