Josephine Chavez
October 19th, 1967 - October 22nd, 2024
Josephine F. Chavez was born on October 19, 1967 to Johanna and Jose Esquibel in Pueblo, Colorado. Josie went to be with our savior on Tuesday October 22nd, just days after her 57th birthday.
She is survived by her Father Jose, Mother Johanna, and Brother Jose; her husband Ambrose, Daughter Johanna (and partner Joe); her daughter Vanatisha, and her youngest daughter Albreny: as well as her step sons Joseph and James.
She held her grandchildren very close as they were her pride and joy: Reality, Jr., Jade, J.P., and Liliana.
She loved her nieces, nephews and so many extended family members; such as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends she called family.
Josie went to Kennedy High School and went to trade school to become a licensed Cosmetologist. Josie was also an ESL teacher, tutor and teacher’s aid at Lumberg Elementary while her girls attended school there. She then returned to her profession full-time as a mother and beautician.
Josie was the kindest and warmest person in the room, known for her authentic love and humility. She opened her home to anyone in need and never judged them for being in hard times. She found comfort in caring for others. May she rest peacefully with our maker.
