Christopher Massey, surrounded by family and friends, passed away on October 30th after a short bout with cancer. He was 46 years old. Born to Mitzi Massey in Tacoma Washington in 1978, the family then moved to Mesa Arizona where he spent most of his life. Chris loved music, comedy and was very passionate about sports and loved the game of basketball. From this he developed a passion for collecting memorabilia and had a massive Jordan shoe collection.
Chris was proceeded in death by the love of his life, Julie Miller. Left to cherish his memory are his mother Mitzi, his brother Tommy and sister-in-law April along with their three children Gaven, Elijah and Emma. Not all family is blood. Chris also leaves behind his brother from another mother, Ryan Moyers and his wife Alanna as well as their four children Hannah, Valerie, Gracie and Averie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 10 a.m. at Meldrum Mortuary 52 North Macdonald, Mesa AZ 85201. A reception and celebration of life will be begin at 12pm at 12 Brewing Company, 12 West Main St, Mesa AZ 85201.
