In Loving Memory

Linda Boulware, born August 7, 1941, left this world on November 16th 2024, to join her beloved husband, James, in the great beyond, where Elvis is always playing, and every day she watches a brand-new episode of Days of Our Lives.

Born in Fairfield, South Carolina, to Clinnie and Grace Jordan, Linda embodied the charm, warmth, and pride of her Southern roots. Linda is survived by her devoted daughter, Melissa Blackwell (Andy); her grandchildren, Jessica (Joseph) and Drew (Kayla) Blackwell; and her great-grandchildren, Grace Blackwell, Norah Barwick, Rylynn Blackwell, Dawsey Blackwell, and Brady Blackwell. Her family was her greatest treasure.

A true South Carolinian, Linda had a passionate love for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Whether it was football, basketball, or any other Gamecocks event, she cheered her team on with a fiery spirit and an unwavering loyalty that rivaled even her love for Elvis.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Thompson Funeral Home on Thursday 11/21 at 12pm, with a graveside service to follow. Friends and family are invited to share their fondest memories and honor her vibrant spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Oliver Gospel Mission, two causes Linda deeply cared about.

Her life was one of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Go Gamecocks!
