Jason Lloyd Carlton

Jason L. Carlton, 57, of Lake Alfred, Passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.  

Born May 2, 1967, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, he moved to Lake Alfred in 1996 from Wauchula. He was a farmer and owner of JLC Farms.  Jason embraced life to the fullest, enjoying the outdoors, particularly the water. He loved offshore fishing and airboating in the Everglades. He loved his family and friends. Cherishing the time spent together, and always “Making Memories”. These memories will always keep him in our hearts. He leaves us with a legacy of laughter, patience and approaching life “Full Throttle”, and occasionally enjoying a taste of fine bourbon. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra A Carlton.

Jason is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kimberly; three daughters, Taylor Carlton of Clearwater, Tiffany Nelson and her husband, Kris of Parrish, FL and Katelyn Bilbrey of Winter Haven; a son Joshua Carlton of Lake Alfred; his father James Carlton and step mother, Penny Carlton of Wauchula; a sister, Jame Carlton-DeLeon and her husband, Jose of Wauchula; three brothers, Jake Carlton and his wife Missy of Zolfo Springs, Matt Carlton and his wife Kristi of Wauchula and Scott Carlton and his wife Jaklynne of Wauchula.; and two grandchildren, Kristalyn Nelson and Dawson “Cletus” Bilbrey.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am, Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00am. Interment at Auburndale Memorial Park.
