Martha Evans Martin, 95, died November 17, 2024, at The Elms in Lynchburg.
Martha was born March 3, 1929, in Lynchburg to Gladys and Dan Evans and was a life-long resident of Lynchburg. She graduated from E.C. Glass High School and Virginia Intermont College. She was a member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her sister Kathryn Evans Smithwick of Kingsport, TN and her husband Ray E. Martin. Survivors are two nieces and a nephew: Kathryn Smithwick Craft (Bruce) of Evans, GA, Robert Walter Smithwick, III (Katherine) of Knoxville, TN, Ann Macon Smithwick Sellman (David) of LaGrange GA and their families. Other survivors include cousins Winkie Reams Schoew, Ann Reams Pettigrew and many other cousins.
Her family fondly remembers her generous nature, big smile and ready laugh.
A service will be held at a later date.
