Cecilia "Ceil" Agnes Mallgraf
February 29th, 1936 - November 19th, 2024
Cecilia (“Ceil”) Agnes Mallgraf, age 88 of Venice, FL (formerly of East Norwich, NY) passed away on November 19, 2024. Following a life beautifully shared with her beloved husband, Gerald Mallgraf, Sr, who predeceased her in August of 2019, Ceil is now reunited with her soulmate in eternal love. Ceil was born in Little Ferry, NJ on February 29, 1936 to Charles and Florence Schifflin. She was the youngest of five children. While living on Long Island, Ceil was involved in the St. Dominic Choir as well as the IHM Guild and spent many years on various committees within the community. After retiring to Florida, Ceil enjoyed playing golf at Mission Valley Country Club, singing as a cantor at Our Lady of Lourdes parish, her Bunco group, but most of all traveling – especially cruising. Above all things, Ceil cherished her family and spending time with them. She will be missed by many whose hearts she left a very large imprint on. Beloved mother of Christine Adams, Gerald Mallgraf, Jr (fiancé Jody Sears) and Gregory Mallgraf (Lisa): adoring grandmother to Sarah Rose (David); Megan Jamieson (Matt) & Molly Mallgraf; and Morgan, Grace & Abigail Mallgraf; great-grandmother to Wolfgang Rose. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends. Ceil was predeceased by her siblings Charles and Arthur Schifflin, Florence Linskey and Constance Blum. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice, FL.
