Robert “Bob” D. Plough of Venice, Florida passed away on November 24, 2024 at the age of 84. He was born on January 28, 1940 in Kalamazoo, Michigan and moved to Venice in 1999. Bob was a teacher, Elementary School Principal and College Professor and Associate Dean while living in Michigan. After moving to Florida, he continued to follow his passion and continued to teach at the college level. Bob taught his whole life and loved every minute of it. He was an educator from 1961-2014. Bob loved playing cards of all kinds, from daily games with siblings online, poker to being a Master Bridge Player. He loved to watch and play just about any sport. He was an avid golfer for most of his life. Bob was a great family man. He loved traveling and camping all over the U.S. with his wife and children. He was a great example for his children as to what a great father and husband looks and acts like. He was an incredibly kind man who touched countless lives during and after his teaching career. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara of Venice; two sons, William (Lori) Plough of Michigan, Brian (Kerri) Plough of Michigan and a daughter, Becky Bonito of Michigan. He also leaves behind 5 sisters, 1 brother, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his son Robert (Lisa) of Michigan and one brother.
