Jimmie Ruth Pappas of Haines City, Florida, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1926, in Rocky Head, Alabama and later moved to Eufaula. Ruth traveled to Greece where she married Theodos George Pappas on February 15, 1955. Ruth and Theo returned to the United States and later moved to Haines City, Florida where Theo passed away on May 22, 2021, after 66 years of marriage. Ruth was also preceded in death by her grandson, Johnnie Norris Patterson Jr.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Ruth is survived by her four sons; Kenneth (Pat), Johnnie (Gloria), George (Sylvia), and Chris (Amy) and one daughter Debbie; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Throughout her life, she enjoyed vacations with her family, family get-togethers, watching the ducks from her kitchen window and playing dominos.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 E. Grace Avenue, Haines City, Florida. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
