Faye Marie Carey Henson (a.k.a “Granny”, 77, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024, at her home. 

Born August 29. 1947in Lynchburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Wilbur and Corene Mattie Hamlett Carey. She was first retired from B & W and later served as secretary of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church. 

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Wayne Henson and his wife, Amanda, of North Canton, OH and Troy Michael Henson and his wife, Dawn, of Lynchburg, VA.; four adoring grandchildren, Emma Sue Henson, Sarah Marie Henson, Carter Thomas Henson and Christian Taylor Henson. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with Pastor Randy Bower officiating followed by a private burial service at Fort Hill Memorial  Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. 

Memorial contributions may be made to New Covenant Schools, 122 Fleetwood Dr. Lynchburg, VA 24501.
