Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home
Susan E. Venetucci
March 31st, 1953 - July 29th, 2020
Susan of Silverton, OR, aged 67, died on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 of complications related to heart surgery. Born in Whittier, CA she was the daughter of the late Harold A. Beresford and Marian E. Beresford. Very much a California girl in her early days enjoying the sun and beach she fit right in with her beautiful blonde hair and radiant smile. She later relocated to the NW where she continued to enjoy the outdoors and later became quite the angler. Her career path ranged from waitress, to Owl Rexall Drug store clerk and postal clerk, to Video Store owner and finally photo clerk. She spent the majority of her career as a video store owner where she made many friends and always had a smile and kind words to share. Her heart was vast and always had room to add more friends and family as they came along. She always put other’s happiness before hers and will always be remembered for her selflessness, smile and compassion. Susan loved arts and crafts and was always working on a new project for her loved ones. She always believed “what goes around, comes around” and treated everyone with kindness and true to the phrase, always received kindness in return. Anyone that knew her, knew that she was fond of butterflies and shared a connection with them in that her life was a journey of transformation. Her final transformation was from butterfly to angel. She is survived by her son Justin Venetucci IV, daughter-in-law Kelly Venetucci, her grandchildren Justin Venetucci V, October Venetucci, Zander Venetucci, her brothers Michael Beresford, James Beresford, Terry Beresford and her fiancé Stephen Gorman. Virtual memorial arrangements are in process. Her brother Michael said of Susan – “She was an amazing mother, friend, companion, and exceptional human being. She was a great soul, and may she rest in peace. We love Susie.” – We couldn’t agree more…

Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home
At Wilhelm's Portland Memorial, we have a rich history dating back to 1901 when we became the first crematory west of the Mississippi River, known then as The Portland Cremation Association. Our historic chapel, marked by its cornerstone placed on February 5th, 1901, has stood the test of time. Today, our memorial site spans 8 stories, approximately 7 miles of corridors of beautifully preserved architecture, and the largest mausoleum on the west coast, spanning 2.5 city blocks....
