Carol Gay Samaco

Carol Gay Samaco (née White) passed away peacefully at home in Melbourne, Florida, on December 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving children. She was born on May 24, 1942, in Pensacola, FL, to William and Estelle White, who preceded her in death.

Carol was married to her beloved husband, Daniel L. Samaco, for 48 wonderful years until his passing in 2010. Together, they raised six children: Raymond (Donna), Andrea (Steven), Penny (Mitchell), Dina (William), and Matthew (Connie), who survive her, and Danelle, who preceded her in death. She was a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Growing up in Ravenna, Ohio, Carol eventually made Melbourne, Florida, her home, where she spent the majority of her life. She dedicated over 30 years of her career to serving others at Holmes Regional Medical Center's Women and Children's Unit.

Carol’s life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and faith. Deeply committed to her church community, most recently attending Melbourne Community Church, she strived to reflect her devotion to Christ in all she said and did. She found joy in her family, her faith, and her friendships. She shared the last 12 years of her life with her cherished companion Robert Paquette, whose love and support enriched her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Melbourne Community Church, located at 3030 New Haven Avenue, Melbourne, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Melbourne Community Church or Love INC of Brevard.

Carol will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, faith, and devotion to Christ will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
