Michael "Mike" Gerard Goldrainer
July 15th, 1956 - December 17th, 2024
Michael “Mike” Gerard Goldrainer of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on December 17, 2024 at the age of 68. He was born on July 15, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Sarasota in 2002. Mike was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and oversaw the maintenance and care of the tennis courts at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He had a gentle spirit, loved to make everyone laugh and he was blessed with an endless gift of humor and kind heart.
Mike is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marianne Connelly Goldrainer; his siblings, Margie (Rick) Vogelsang, Mark (Kim) Goldrainer, Tim (Shauna) Goldrainer, Diane (Mike) Godar and many adoring nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his three brothers-in-law, James (Jim) Freed, James V. (Maureen) Connelly, Jack Thinnes, two sisters-in-law, Anne Connelly, Becky Connelly and countless friends from all walks of life. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Goldrainer; his mother, Clare Goldrainer, his sister, Mary Jo Goldrainer and his in-laws, Michael J. Connelly, Rosemary Connelly Freed, MaryEllen Connelly Thinnes and John Connelly, Jr. To know Mike is to love Mike.
A graveside service with honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1:00PM on Friday, March 14, 2025
