        Connie Lorraine Roemig September 14, 1945 – December 14, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Connie Lorraine Roemig, who left us on December 14, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on September 14, 1945, she was a loving mother, nana, great-nana, and cherished friend to many.

Nana is survived by her siblings Billie and Larry, children April, Michelle (Patrick), Susie (Eddie), and Michael (Andrea), grandchildren Savanna, Randee, Mia, Aubrey, Austin, McKenzie, Tarah, Madison, Conor, Tyler, Riley, Michael and Josie. She also leaves behind 13 (and counting) greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael—better known to many as Poppop—along with her parents, William and Beatrice, sister Sonja, her daughter Tammy and best friends Johnne Sue and Karen.

“We are all stories in the end, remembered by the adventures we had, the achievements we made and the people we loved.” - Nishan Panwar

And with Nana, there were many. She lived a life devoted to her family, raising five wonderful children who each passed down a spark of her vibrant personality. Her legacy shines brightly through an ever-growing family tree, shaped by her warmth and humor.

Beyond her family, Nana had an uncanny ability to find friends everywhere, proudly earning the title of “Nana” to all. From Allentown to Chicago and Albany, Kansas City, Raleigh and Broomfield, she planted lasting roots everywhere she lived. Even when traveling, most often to the beach, she had a special way of making people smile with her sharp wit and Southern charm.

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” - A.A. Milne - Winnie the Pooh Nana’s spirit and love live on in everyone who knew her, reminding us all to embrace life with a smile and a little mischief.
