Pacita Concepcion Bautista, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 22, 2024, in Monterey, California at the age of 96. Born on March 15, 1928, in Cabalitian Island, Sual Pangasinan, Philippines to Genaro and Juliana Concepcion.
Pacita’s life was a testament to love, family, and friends. She shared almost 67 wonderful years with her devoted husband, Anecito Sr., a marriage grounded in mutual respect and deepest affection. As a Navy wife of 22 yrs, she created special memories in places like Hawaii, Alaska, Florida, then settling in Marina, California in 1976.
Pacita was the matriarch of our family, guiding multiple generations with her quiet strength, warmth and the wisdom she had gathered over a lifetime. She lived a life filled with love, resilience, and devotion for her husband, children, grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren. Her laughter could brighten any room and her spirit will live on in the stories we share. Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed.
Throughout her long life, Pacita witnessed many changes in the world but she remained steadfast in her values, including family, kindness and perseverance. She was a woman of deep faith and her belief in the goodness of others inspired those around her to be better and to treasure every moment.
Pacita enjoyed music, singing, dancing, traveling and cooking for loved ones. She adored our fur-baby pups, Santino and Romeo. She was preceded in death by her son, Anecito “Chito” Bautista, Jr., grandson, Don Bosco Rivera, parents and six siblings. Pacita is survived by her husband Anecito Bautista, Sr., and children R’lene Bautista, Randy Reyes, Bobby Reyes, Terry Reyes and Ligaya Reyes-Ibanez, grandchildren (8), great grandchildren (12) and great-great grandchildren (6).
In celebration of her life, the viewing will be held on December 19th from 1-7pm, rosary 5-6pm at Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park Chapel, 1915 Ord Grove Avenue, Seaside CA 93955. Mass will be held on December 20th at 11am, at St. Jude Catholic Parish, 303 Hillcrest Avenue, Marina, CA 93933. Burial will follow at 12:30pm, at Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park, Seaside.

Mission Mortuary - Seaside
Centrally located on the Monterey Peninsula, Mission Mortuary has been the premier funeral home choice for Monterey and the entire peninsula for decades. Mission Mortuary opened its doors in 1946, first on Munras Avenue in Monterey and to our current location on Camino El Estero, walking distance to the Pacific Ocean and area cemeteries, in 1952. Despite our long history, we have evolved to meet the changing needs of our families. Our facility includes spaces both large and small. Whether a handful of friends and family or a large crowd, we can accommodate all. As a reflection of our commitment to our diverse region, we offer multicultural funerals....
