Lydia Gilbert, 83 of Winter Haven, Florida passed away at home on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
Lydia leaves behind her husband of 43 years Terry Faulk; 3 children: Pam Murdock Phares (Clif), Keith Murdock (Bonnie), and Mia Schemmel (Mike); 4 grandchildren: Leslie Murdock Baxter, Zachary Murdock (Amanda), Lauren Phares Kersey (Josh), and Bradley Phares (Mindy); 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 siblings: Mary Gilliland, and Rodney Gilbert (Lisa); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 6 siblings: Thomas Gilbert, Marcus Gilbert, Sandra Dixon, Carolyn Chandler, Rhondell Gilbert, and Bradford Gilbert.
Lydia called Winter Haven home for more than 60 years. She started her career with 27 years at Bordo Citrus, followed by 10 years at SunPure, and retiring from MasterTaste. Her happiest days were those spent with her loved ones. Lydia, better known as “Mimi” to her family, was treasured by all, she will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 1pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 W. Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33881. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Interment will be held at a later date.
