Barbara Jeanne Kranz
August 22nd, 1934 - December 24th, 2024
Kranz (nee Lokowich) Barbara Jeanne, age 90, of Saint Paul, MN, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024. Barb is survived by her children, Sue (Tom) Grun, Jeanne, Mary (Shawn) McDonald, David (Susan Schwartz), Debbie (Rich) Mavis, and Bridget; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her siblings Mark and Mary Helen. Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Wally Kranz, her daughter Colette (Brad) Hanson, her parents, Frank and Opal, her brothers Jerry and John, and her sister, Joan.
Barb lived her life for her 7 children. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with them, whether it be family trips traveling the world together, weekly (or more) card games with “the girls”, cooking gourmet meals for the family, and taking frequent bike rides, walks, and runs together in any kind of weather. She was also a voracious reader, favoring mysteries and thrillers of all kinds. Barb will be so dearly missed.
Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Cerenity in White Bear Lake, as well as Hospice of the Midwest in Forest Lake, for the exceptional care provided in the last years of her life. We are so grateful.
A Funeral Mass will be held on January 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the Church of the Assumption, 51 7th St. West, St. Paul, MN, with visitation at 9 AM. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations are preferred to Cerenity Senior Care - White Bear Lake or the Church of the Assumption.
