Raymond (Ray) Henry Bernard Jr., 69 years old of Sarasota, Fl., formerly of Paxton, MA died on Thursday Dec. 26, 2024. He leaves his wife Dominique (Murray) Bernard, of Sarasota. His Children Shawn (Stephanie) of Stuart, FL., Jeremy (Kerry) of Ellijay, GA., Derrick (Luciana) of Deerfield, FL., Ryan of Boca, FL., Nicole (Mark) of San Antonio, TX., and Kendall of Sarasota, FL. 7 Grandkids, Lexi, Caitlin, Brooklyn, Bently, Liam, Ava and Sarah. His siblings Christine (William) McNamara of Sterling, MA., Joan Jenese of Rock Hill, SC., AnnMarie (Sharon) McQueen of Sutton, MA., and David (Charlene) Bernard of Shrewsbury, MA. He is predeceased by his parents Raymond H. Bernard Sr. and Alice (McManus) Bernard. A sister, Bernadette Marie Bernard. 

Ray worked in the construction field all of his life. Starting at RH White in Auburn, Suffolk Construction of Boston and West Palm Beach, FL., finishing his career at Kast Construction in Sarasota/Tampa, FL. Work was his life outside of his family and grandchildren. The best days were spent spending time with his family. He enjoyed Maine, Cape Cod, Marco Island, Ellijay, GA., or out on his boat. It was those times that he cherished his wife. Services will be private and at a later date. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Meyers, Dr. Ashraf, Dr. Ramos and the staff at Tampa General and Sarasota Memorial Hospital (North Venice) and Kast Construction.
