Richard H. Sloan, a resident of Englewood, FL, passed away on December 14, 2024. He had a long tenure in Aurora, IL, and served as the head municipal bond trader for First National Bank of Chicago. Born in Chicago, IL on June 21, 1937, Richard graduated from DePauw University in 1959. In 1998, he relocated to Venice, FL with his wife, Malinda, who predeceased him on May 20, 2010.

 

He is survived by his son, Christopher Sloan (Renee Franz) of Valparaiso, IN and his daughter, Margaret (Mindy) Sloan, of Englewood, FL, his grand-daughter’s Olivia Miles and Madison Kirk of Valparaiso, IN, his three great grand-children, Theodore (Teddy) Miles, and Lily and Lucy Miles of Valparaiso, IN, Mathew Franz (Kate) of New Castle, IN and Christoper Franz of Kouts, IN.

 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. LeRoy and Anne Sloan, of Chicago, IL as well as his brother, Mike Sloan, of Miami, FL and his sister, Patricia Sloan, of New York, NY.
