Mrs. Gail Sherwin, 88, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 22, 2024. She passed peacefully with her family by her side.
Gail was born in Barnesboro, PA on December 30, 1936, and lived her final years in Canon City, CO. She liked to think of herself as a “Domestic Engineer” and she excelled in that profession with excellence. Gail married her high school sweetheart, Barry, on April 23, 1955. They travelled the world together with their three children and after 31 years of Air Force life they settled in Colorado Springs, CO in 1985.
As the “Domestic Engineer” she loved to cook and bake, maintain the household, and kept the home fires burning while Barry was off doing his Air Force duty. She was an awesome mother and a wonderful, loving wife. Her voice was that of an angel and was a member of every choir of every chapel and church she attended. She is adding her voice to the Heavenly Choir glorifying God.
Gail is survived by her husband Earl (Barry), son Mark Sherwin (Teresa), daughter Connie Cella (Eric), son Eric Sherwin (Laura), granddaughter Taryn Cella, grandson Connor Sherwin, granddaughter Stephanie Sherwin, granddaughter Samantha Sherwin, five great-grandchildren, sister Helen Davis, brother John Montgomery and brother Jim Montgomery.
She was preceded in death by her father Benton Stuart Montgomery and mother Dorothy Mae (Wilkinson) Montgomery.
