In Loving Memory Of
Louice Collins 8/21/36-12/30/24
Louice, better known to most as Granny, was born August 21, 1936 in Belize City, Belize.
Louice met the love of her life, Earl Collins, on Jan 2, 1954. She later married her sweetheart on Feb 15, 1956 and they had four children, Everold, Sylvia, Lewin and Jefferson Collins who she loved dearly.
Louice planned to be a teacher, but once she married, she decided to be a homemaker.
Louice immigrated to the United States in 1970, where she built her life in Brooklyn, New York and became a housekeeper and nanny. She was loved by all of the families she served.
Louice was a lover of people, she had a big heart and would open her home to friends and family to stay as long as they needed. She hosted the best BBQs, loved to cook, loved music and especially loved to dance. She enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and would take weekend road trips to Chicago to visit her brothers, sisters and extended family.
In 2000, Louice retired and moved to Palm Bay, Florida where she found happiness in caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lived a life of leisure and enjoyed traveling. Her favorite trip was to Barbados, where she visited with her dear friends, Mr. and Mrs. Lynch.
Louice was a God-fearing woman that enjoyed reading the word, singing gospel songs and loved her Apostolic Revival Center family.
Louice is predecessed by her son Lewin Collins, mother May Davis and father Harold Neal, brothers, Clifton Neal, Henry, Ronald, Cardinal, Calbert Usher and sisters Olive Cooper, Lorraine Ware, Wilma Castillo and Lorraine Murillo.
