Carlos Anthony Manzanares, Jr. of Denver, was born in Pueblo, Colorado to Roberta (Berta) L. Bueno and Carlos Anthony (Chuck) Manzanares, Sr. (Rainee) on June 6, 1978. Carlos is survived by his wife - Cariña Vigil, children Carlos Anthony (grandpup-Bugsy) Manzanares III, stepdaughter Alicia Jennifer Ortivez (Isiah), and stepdaughter Emery Pruitt; grandchildren, Audrey Amaya Marquez-Ortivez, Aidyn Matthew Ortivez, Onyx Azariah Quintana, and Legend Joseph Quintana; brother, Daniel A. Manzanares (Amy) and nephew Daniel Manzanares, Jr.; stepbrother Ethan Garcia; niece Avaree Garcia; grandmother Frances Bueno (grandma Bueno) and Loretta Manzanares. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, and colleagues.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather James (Jim) Manzanares, Marcellino Bueno, stepsister Ashlee Bustillos (Armondo and Winnee Bustillos) and grandson, Ezra Ortivez.

Carlos grew up in Pueblo and graduated from East High School. He spent his career as a Wholesale Parts Manager at Emich Volkswagen in Denver, Colorado. Carlos met Cariña when they were children and, although their lives went in different directions for a brief time, they found their way back to one another and started their lives as one in 2006. Carlos and Cariña (his “Doll” or “Gorgeous”) raised their children Carlos and Alicia together in Denver. They began welcoming their grandchildren in 2012. If you spent time around Carlos and his grandchildren, you just knew by the look on his face how much he loved them; or heard his infectious giggle when they said/did something they weren’t supposed to, but it was still funny. There was nothing more important to Carlos than his family.

Carlos will be remembered for his beautiful angelic smile, hardcore humor, and his love for music. He will be deeply missed by those who had the opportunity to know and love him.

A memorial service will be held in Carlos’ honor at: Romero’s Funeral Home 4750 Tejon Street Denver, CO 80211 Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
