Michael Todd Brasington, 60, of Elgin, South Carolina passed away January 9, 2025, at Prisma Richland Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on February 20, 1964 in Columbia, South Carolina to Lee and Shirley (May) Brasington .

 

Michael is survived by his sons, Kolby Brasington (Chelsey Burgess), Jonathon Pool (Jessica Pool); daughters, Mattie Dinkins, Megan Dinkins, and Jade Harris (Carte); sister, Pattie Cox; niece, Angel Lucas; nephew, Christopher Payton; along with great nieces and nephews. 

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Barfield (Julius O’Neal); father, Pat Brasington; brothers, Terry Brasington and Robert Brasington. 

 

Funeral services will be at Thompson Funeral Home on January 13th at 1pm with Todd Gentry officiating. Memorials may be made to the Thompson Funeral Home website. 

 

Mike loved to spend all the time he could riding his motorcycle with his friends, family, and especially his sons. He was a devoted father to his son and took place as a father to those who weren’t his own. He was quick to start up a conversation with anyone he met, he never knew a stranger. His smile and laugh would light up stadiums. He was an avid storyteller, he loved to tell the stories of the amazing, adventurous life he lived.
