Charles "Chuck" Grady Garris, Jr.
August 22nd, 1955 - December 3rd, 2024
In Loving Memory Of
Charles "Chuck" Grady Garris, Jr, 69, of Micco, passed away on Tuesday, December 3rd at Palm Bay Hospital.
Born August 22nd, 1955 in Aiken, SC to Grady and Sylvia Garris, Chuck was one to touch more lives than he realized, forging lifelong bonds wherever he went. An 18-year veteran of the Army Corps of Engineers, his career saw him working on infrastructure projects within communities of developing nations, as well as serving our nation during Desert Storm. Retiring to civilian life, he became a well-regarded expert as a senior systems protection engineer, working on power systems all across America. An enjoyer of Clemson football and muscle cars, he was truly an outdoorsman at heart - an avid marksman who's true passion was on the water. Whether it was fishing on the Indian River or casting nets for shrimp in the Carolinas with his Uncle Wayne, the water was where his soul could always find peace.
He is survived by his son, David Garris, his fiancé, Charlene LeBlanc, and his sisters, Diana Grossman, Gail Crosby, and Nancy Garris. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Grady Garris, Sr., and his mother, Sylvia Garris.
