Carla (Mathiesen) Brossman was born on January 15, 1961 to Hans and Mary Ann Mathiesen in Longmont, CO. She joined her older sisters Pamela (Bob Marez) and Yvonne (David Unrein) and later Sandy (Kenney Dappen). She grew up in Mead, CO and graduated from Longmont High School. She married Dean Brossman in 1981 and they enjoyed over 43 years of marriage. She has a daughter, Adrienne (Sandoval) born in 1984 and a son Daniel born in 1987. She has 4 grandchildren, Adrienne and Steve Sandoval have two sons, Jake and Sam and Daniel and Tara (Rose) Brossman have two daughters, Lily and Lainey. Carla graduated from UNC in 1993 with a BS in accounting. She and Dean travelled extensively and visited 12 countries and 49 States.
She passed suddenly on January 14, 2025, the day before her 64th birthday. A Memorial is planned for February 15th, 11 AM at the Platteville, CO Community Center. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Donor Alliance at donoralliance.org/contribute
