Dr. David J. Green 

                                         October 13, 1949 - January 14, 2025 

Dr. David J. Green, aged 75, passed away on January 14, 2025, after a short illness. Born on October 13, 1949 in Century, Florida, David moved to Haines City as a young boy with his parents Dr. David E. Green and Jean Justice Green, and considered himself a life long resident of Polk County. 

David was a 1967 graduate of Haines City High School. He obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees from his beloved University of Florida, graduating in 1975 with a medical degree from UF’s College of Medicine. Dr. Green was a private person, yet his contributions as a physician in Haines City over the past 45 years are immeasurable. He was an avid Gator football fan and considered Grenelefe, CypressWood and Southern Dunes Golf Courses his favorite stomping grounds. He loved a good card game and spending time near his adored home on Lake Hamilton. 

David will be deeply missed by his family, many patients, co-workers, and friends. He is survived by his daughters, Laurie (Tripp), Jillian (Aaron), three grandsons, and brother, Steven Green (Debbie). 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 16th, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, at Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club 2888 Southern Dunes Blvd, Haines City, FL 33844.
